Keonthal, Raja of; Bije Sain; b. 1880; succeeded to gaddi, 1901; title of Rana borne by the head of this family from ancient times; the British Government conferred the title of Raja in recognition of the valuable services rendered at the time of the Mutiny of 1857; Five petty States of Koti, Theog, Madhan, Ghun Ratesh, are subordinate to this State; area of the State 116 square miles; propulation, 22,499: revenue, Rs. 1,00,000.
