King, Sir Henry Clark, Kt, (1906), Solicitor and Notary Public and Commissioner, High Court, Madras; b. 1857; s. of Rev. C. W. King; m. Ethel, e.d. of J. Alderson Smith of Wheatcroft, Scarborough; educ: Durham; Marlborough; Articled to A. S. Field of Leamington, 1875; arrived in India, 1880 as Assistant to Tasker and Wilson; now senior partner in the firm of King and Josselyn, Madras; was one of the three secretaries of Madras in connection with the reception of T.R H. the Prince and Princess of Wales, 1906.
