B.A., B.Sc, (London), Bar-at Law, Professor, Government College of Commerce, Bombay; first Indian to graduate in the faculty of Economics and Political Science in the University of London; first Indian to be elected as President of the Students’ Union in that University; Fellow, Royal Economic Society and Professor of Administration and Economics; first Indian pupil of Professor Lees, Smith, M.P., accompanied him to England, 1909; distinguished himself at the London School of Economics and Political Science; interested himself in the question of Indian emigration and was one of the deputation that waited on Lord Crew, to discuss the South African question, 1913.
