Ram Dutt, Ratri, Rai Bahadur (1907). retired Extra-Assistant Conservator of Forests, U.P.; b. 1854; educ: Government College, Bareilly; joined the Forest Department at Jaunsor; introduced certain useful invensions, such as the telescope method of floating timber, a wire tramway, a day slide and a truck tram-way; obtained certificate of merit, 1903; retired, 1908; joined service of Tehri State.
