Warburton, John Paul, C.I.E. (1911), Indian Police Service (retired); s. of late Sardar Faiz Talab Khan Popalzzi Durani, and step-son of late Colonel Roberts Warburton, R.A.; b. 1840; joined service in the Police Department, Punjab, 1864; became Superintendents 1873; Assistant Inspector-General of Railway Police, 1894; retired, 1900; joined service in the Patiala State as Inspector-General of Police, and Member of State Council, 1900; remained, in State service till 1910; granted 1,080 acres of land as a reward for good services rendered to the State of Patiala; m. Mary, d. of John Waynian, 1863. Address: Gilbert House, Kasauli, Punjab.
