ADAMS, Hannah (1755-1832). One of the earliest American women writers. She was the author of Veiws of Religious Opinions (1784); History of New England (1799); Evidences of Christianity (1801) and a History of the Jews (1812), all of which brought fame, but little money. Her home was in Brookline, Mass.
