(1902), late Royal Dublin Fusiliers: served in the South African War, 1900-1902, mentioned in despatches twice; Queen's Medal with three clasps, King's Medal with two clasps; served in the Army Remount Service during the Great War, 1914-1919: b. 28th April, 1857; son of the late John Baker, Co. Dublin; m. 1880, Florence Mary Josephine, elder dau. of the late J. B. Meerwald, (Ceylon Civil Service and has issue three sons and three daus. Res.: 77 Grosvenor Square, Rathmines, Co. Dublin.
