BRUEN, Rear-Admiral Edward Francis, C.B. (1918); b. 7th Nov., 1866; 2nd son of the late Right Hon. Henry Bruen, of Oak Park, Carlow; m. 1912. Constance Dora, dau. of the late Admiral E. C. Drummond, of Eskhill in Forfarshire; one son, Francis; one dau., Anne; served in the Royal Navy since 1880. Captain 1906; R.-Admiral, 1917; commanded H.:M.S. "Bellerophon" 1913-1916; present at Battle of Jutland (despatches); H.M.S. "Resolution," 1916-17, and 2nd Cruiser Squadron, 1918. Officer of Legion D'Honneur; Companion of the Order of St. Anne of Russia; Order of the Sacred Treasure of Japan, 2nd Class. Club: Naval and Military.
