the House of Representatives dated 7 March 2477 Buddhist Era)

Enacted on the 15th day of June 2478 Buddhist Era
Being the 2nd year of the present reign

Whereas the House of Representatives has resolved that it is appropriate to repeal all the laws dealing with the Charter of the Courts of Justice which are in force at present and replace them with the Charter of the Courts of Justice annexed to this Act;

Therefore, by and with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives, a great royal command is given that the following Act be enacted:

Section1.This Act shall be called the "Charter of the Courts of Justice Promulgation Act, 2477 Buddhist Era".

Section2.This Act shall come into force from the day of its publication in the Royal Gazette onwards.

Section3.The Charter of the Courts of Justice enacted at the end of this Act shall come into force from the 1st day of October 2478 Buddhist Era onwards.

The provisions of this Charter of the Courts of Justice shall apply to all cases instituted after the day of coming into force of this Charter of the Courts of Justice, whether their causes occurred before or occur after the day of coming into force of this Charter of the Courts of Justice.

All the cases instituted before the day of coming into force of this Charter of the Courts of Justice shall be governed by the laws in force before the day of coming into force of this Charter of the Courts of Justice, until they reach their finality.

Section4.Subject to the provisions of section 3, from the day of coming into force of this Charter of the Courts of Justice onwards, all other laws, regulations, and rules which have already been incorporated into this Charter of the Courts of Justice or which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Charter of the Courts of Justice shall be repealed.

Section5.The Minister of Justice shall have the duty to be in charge of the execution of this Act and, for such purpose, shall have the power to issue ministerial regulations laying down specific rules governing the administrative business of the courts, in order that it shall proceed in a uniform manner throughout the Kingdom.

Those ministerial regulations shall come into force upon publication in the Royal Gazette.
