Title 17, Chapter 3, § 216. When the day for taking action falls on Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday

When the last day for making any deposit or application, or for paying any fee, or for delivering any other material to the Copyright Office falls on Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday within the District of Columbia, such action may be taken on the next succeeding business day.
Section 216 was added by the Act of April 13, 1954 (c. 137, 68 Stat. 52), § 1. It was repealed by the Copyright Act of 1976 (Pub. L. 94-553, Oct. 19, 1976, 90 Stat. 2541) with effect from January 1, 1978.
