Chap. LI.An Act in relation to the two per cent. fund of the State of Mississippi.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,Assent of Congress to the appropriation of part of the two per cent. fund to Brandon and Jackson railroad.
Governor of Mississippi authorized to enter land with the two per cent. fund.
That the assent of Congress is hereby given to the appropriation, by the State of Mississippi, to the completion of the railroad from Brandon to Jackson, of the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars, as a part of the two per cent. fund heretofore relinquished by Congress to said State; and that the Governor of said State be, and he is hereby, authorized, with the said two per cent. fund now in the Treasury of the United States, to enter any public lands in said State, subject to private entry, and in the name and on behalf of said State, to be held subject to the same trusts and purposes of said fund.
