Protection requests[edit]

  • Beyond the Wall of Sleep was originally protected on 9 July 2005 at multilungual Wikisource, but it has become unprotected after moved herein. I just make a reminder here.--Jusjih 11:12, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
It seems to be protected now, I only have the option to unprotect it. AllanHainey 16:17, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
I protected this page while no one else responded shortly after my reminder.--Jusjih 03:01, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
  • Universal Declaration of Human Rights has been vandalized several times. I suggest protection.--Jusjih 02:34, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
If it's a version that has no errors (like from the U.N.'s site itself), then go ahead. We probably shouldn't protect a page that has vandalism errors; it will be too hard to edit.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 22:04, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
I have proofread the content against a UN web page and tagged it 75% complete. Is protection ready yet?--Jusjih 05:12, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
    Done. AllanHainey 12:51, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
  • Template:Author - this is used so much that a small change produces large-scale effects. And there is absolutely no reason to make any changes to it without discussion either. Unsigned request left by Zhaladshar on 17:59, 18 March 2006
There is an outstanding issue with this template, I'd suggest it not be protected till we know its been resolved. AllanHainey 12:17, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
This was fixed. Thanks Pathoschild! I will protect it now.--BirgitteSB 13:49, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Done, but watch it as previous protections don't seem to have stuck AllanHainey 16:37, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
  • Template:Header - this template is used all over the project. Many templates are modifications of {{header}}. Any changes made to this template could be disastrous. And with its state of development, so changes need be made by anybody unless they are approved by the community at large.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 01:28, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
    Done.--Jusjih 12:05, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Requesting semi-protection on United States Bill of Rights to stem a recent onslaught of vandalism. - Jude (talk, contribs, email) 00:25, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Done. Let us have this sit for week or so and they will probably forget about it--BirgitteSB 00:30, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
I've unprotected this and placed it on my watchlist. If there's any more vandalism, it's not difficult to re-protect. Jude (talk, contribs, email) 07:37, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Roy Edward Disney resignation letter This page has been recreated 3 times since it's deletion for copyright infringement. I put the deleted page template on it to try and get the anon users attention. If they recreate it again, I request that it be protected. If it has not been re-created after a week I suggest we delete my last edits. --BirgitteSB 21:59, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

Unprotection requests[edit]

  • Universal Declaration of Human Rights has an introductory note on the top from [1], but as I check the PDF copy from [2], that introduction is NOT part of the Declaration. As we no longer accept noncommercial licenses like UN copyright terms, that part should probably be considered copyrighted and removed, and the formats of the text in the page should probably be based on the PDF instead. For these, I suggest unprotection and eventually convert the copyright tag to Template:PD-UN.--Jusjih 14:19, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
