CHRISTMASTIDE.

ADESTE, fideles,
Læeti triumphantes;
Venite, venite in Bethlehem;
Natum videte
Regem Angelorum;
Venite adoremus,
Venite adoremus,
Venite adoremus Dominum.

YE faithful, approach ye
Joyfully triumphing;
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem;
Come and behold ye
Born the King of Angels:
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

Deum de Deo,
Lumen de Lumine,
Gestant puellæ viscera:
Deum verum,
Genitum non factum:
Venite adoremus, etc.

God of God eternal;
Light from light proceeding;
Lo, He deigns in the Virgin's womb to lie.
Very God, yea,
Not made but begotten:

O come, let us adore, etc.

Cantet nunc Io
Chorus Angelorum:
Cantet nunc aula cœlestium,
Gloria in excelsis Deo:
Venite adoremus, etc.

All ye choirs of angels,
Come, alleluia! sing,
Sing all ye citizens of heaven above,
Glory to God in the highest heavens:
O come, let us adore, etc.

Ergo qui natus
Die hodierna,
Jesu, tibi sit gloria:
Patris æterni
Verbum caro factum;
Venite adoremus, etc.

Amen.

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee,
Born this happy morning:
O Jesus, now to Thee be glory given,
Word of the Father,
In our flesh appearing:
O come, let us adore, etc.

Amen.
