?a?r?c?. 21 As regards the terms used in this translation, it may be as well to notice, that the word ?t?, in the few places where it occurs, has been translated ?or- ship, no other English term pre*enting itself as, on the whole, so highly authorized, or as so well express- ing the character of that homage, supernatural though not divine, which the Christran soul takes delight in paying to the Angels and Saints, and to their blessed Queen. In conclusion, the Translator desires to express here his warm thanks to those kind frieuds, both of the clergy and laity, who have assisted him in his work; as also his acknowledgments for the help which he has received from existing versions.
