147 I came before the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word. 148 My eyes are awake through the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.
149 Hear my voice according to thy lovingkindness: O LORD, revive me according to thy judgment.
150 They draw near that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law. 151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.
152 Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

RESH.

153 Consider my affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law. 154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: revive me according to thy word.
155 Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.
156 Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: revive me according to thy judgments. [1]
157 Many are my persecutors and my enemies; yet I do not decline from thy testimonies.
158 I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.
159 Consider how I love thy precepts: revive me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.
160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. [2]

SCHIN.

161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.
162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
163 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.
164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.
165 Great peace have they who love thy law: and nothing shall cause them to stumble. [3]
166 LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and performed thy commandments.
167 My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly. 168 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.

TAU.

169 Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word. 170 Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.
171 My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.
172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.
173 Let thy hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts. 174 I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.
175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.
176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

PSALM 120.

A Song of degrees.

In my distress I cried to the LORD, and he heard me. 2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue. 3 What shall be given to thee? or what shall be done to thee, thou false tongue? [4] [5] 4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper. [6]
5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar! 6 My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace. 7 I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war. [7]

PSALM 121.

A Song of degrees.

I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from which cometh my help. [8] 2 My help cometh from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

PSALM 122.

A Song of degrees of David.

I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. 2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. 3 Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together: 4 Where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, to the testimony of Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD. 5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David. [9]
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. 7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. 8 For my brethren and companions’ sake, I will now say, Peace be within thee. 9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
