| You will eat and be satisfied and then you will bless Hashem, your God, for the good land which He has given to you: | וְאָכַלְתָּ֖ וְשָׂבָ֑עְתָּ וּבֵֽרַכְתָּ֙ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ עַל־הָאָ֥רֶץ הַטֹּבָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָֽתַן־לָֽךְ׃ |

| You will eat and be satisfied and then you will bless | וְאָכַלְתָּ֖ וְשָׂבָ֑עְתָּ וּבֵֽרַכְתָּ֙ |
| For you will recall the labour [that you did] in Egypt and the torture of the desert, so that when you will eat and be satisfied in the good land, you will bless God for it. Our Sages (Brachot 40b) said, " | כי תזכור עבודת מצרים ועינוי המדבר, וכאשר תאכל ותשבע בארץ הטובה תברך עליה את השם. ורבותינו (ברכות מח ב): קבלו שזו מצות עשה, וטעמו ותברך את ה' אלוהיך, וכן ועשית מעקה לגגך (להלן כב ח), וכן ועשית פסח לה' אלוהיך (להלן טז א), ולקחת מראשית כל פרי האדמה (להלן כו ב), ורבים. |
