Don't know birth/death dates... I can not find any definitive biographical material on this guy... I know he is NOT any of those listed on the WP disambiguation page... I did a Google Books search for John+Kemble and John+Kemble+Vigilantes, etc. between the dates of 1914-1922, but couldn't find any biographical info—merely references to the poem in Fifes and Drums. No joy with LOC Catalog or Ancestry.com... His name is too "vague", and perhaps his notability—not notable... I'd be happy if anyone could have better luck than me!
