Requirement to move File from Commons[edit]

The author of the work died in 1957, so Commons shouldn't be the place for the file. We will need to move it locally, and while can import the wrapper for the file via Special:Import, we cannot grab the actual file itself via the same process, and we will need to upload it. Would recommend that we get the wrapper first, and then upload the file. — billinghurst sDrewth 01:35, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why would you want to impose that requirement? I know the 'reason', but the question is why do you want to do this. Cygnis insignis (talk) 02:15, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't the work published in the United States and by an American author? —innotata 15:26, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
At least this edition is American, and Henry Thew Stephenson was a professor at Indiana University when this was published. Looking at his books on the Internet Archive, I would think he was American, since they are all published in the United States, and one is a historical novel set in Dutch Manhattan. —innotata 15:29, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh d'oh, my mistake, apologies about that. My brain was obviously working on the assumption of English author. Cannot think why it was one dimensional at the time. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:19, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
