Crofton, Edward, M.A. St. Mary Hall, Oxon, a member of the South-eastern circuit, associate of Institution of Naval Architects and of Society of Engineers, formerly in holy orders, a student of the Inner Temple 31 Oct., 1871 (then aged 37), called to the bar 6 June, 1874 (2nd son of Augustus Crofton, late of Brighton, clerk); born 6 June, 1832; married 10 Aug., 1859, Sarah, 2nd dau. of William Tanner, Esq., of Patcham, Sussex, D.L. (see Foster's Baronetage).
