Goldsmid, Sir Julian, Bart., M.A. London Univ. 1861, fellow 1875, and a member of Convocation, treasurer since 1880, went the Oxford circuit, M.P. Honiton 1866-8, Rochester 1870-80, J.P., D.L. Kent, hon. col. 1st Sussex artillery volunteers since 1881, a student of Lincoln's Inn 6 Nov., 1860 (then aged 22), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1864 (eldest son of Frederick David Goldsmid, Esq., of Somerhill, Kent); born 8 Oct., 1838; married 31 March, 1868, Virginia, eldest dau. of late A. Philipson, Esq., of Florence, and has issue (see Foster's Baronetage).
