Witt, Ernest Edwin, M.A. (late fellow), St. Peter Coll., Camb., 1869, 1st class classical tripos 1867, translator of Homer's Odyssey in blank verse, a student of Lincoln's Inn 2 June, 1868 (then aged 24), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1871 (4th son of James Witt, Esq., late of Lincoln's Inn, bar.-at-law, dec.); born Nov., 1844; married 1 July, 1873, Constance, only dau. of Thomas Burgoyne, Esq., of London.
