I went up to it and helped an elderly lady to alight. She wanted to see the church. Oh ! are you Mr Wilson ? she said. * I wanted so much to make your acquaint ance. So we went into the church and sat down. I wanted to talk to you about the Men s Club you are building. I thought I should like to help in it. Not that I can do it all for you, Mr Wilson, for you want so much ! I expressed my pleasure at receiving anything she liked to give. 1 I thought I should like to give ^"300. I opened my eyes. But then, you know, you want money for Mission expenses, and I should like to help you there, too. I suggested that I should call upon her and talk it over. Certainly, the day after to-morrow at two o clock. At two o clock I was there, and found that she had written out a cheque for ^600 ^500 for the club and .100 for the Mission work.
