E X P. C A P. V. An Act for making further Provifions to enable Perfons poffeffed of Offices at the Demife of his late Majefty to qualify themfelves for the Enjoyment of fuch Offices, and for altering and explaining the Acts ot Parliament therein mentioned in relation to qualifying Perfons for continuing in Offices, and to the Continuance of the Sheriffs of the County of Cornwal and County Palatine of Chejter, and feveral other Officers therein mentioned, after the Demife of his late Majefty, his Heirs and Succeffors ; and for continuing fuch Laws as would expire at t the h'nd of this Seffion of Parliament.

' faid late Majefty's Plantations, ftiould become void by reafon of the Demife or Death of her faid late Ma- ' jefty, her Heirs or Succeffors ; but every Perfon in any of the Offices, Places and Imployments aforefaid e fhould continue in their refpecTive Offices, Places and Imployments for the Space of fix Months next after 1 fuch Death or Demife, unlets fooner removed and difcharged by the next in Succeffion, as in the faid Act

  • is exprefi'ed ; and that all Officers and Perfons in any Offices, Places or Imployments, Civil or Military,

' who were or fhould be by the faid AcT: continued as aforefaid, fhould take the Oaths therein mentioned, ' and do all other Acts requifite by the Laws and Statutes of this Realm to qualify themfelves to be and ' continue in fuch their refpective Places, Offices and Imployments, within fuch Time and i» fuch Manner, ' and under fuch Pains, Penalties and Difabilities, as they fhould or ought to do, had they been newly ' elected, appointed, conftituted and put into fuch Offices, Places or Imployments in the ufual and ordinary ' Way, as by the faid recited AcT: (Relation being thereunto had) may appear : And whereas divers Perfons ' having Offices, Places or Imployments in the Kingdom of Ireland are now refiding in Great Britain, and by

' themfelves in that Behalf as the Law directs :' Be it therefore enacted, &c. E X P. " Perfons in Offices in Ireland, refiding in England, may qualify themfelves here before 28 Nov. 1727." 4 II. And whereas by the general Words of the faid recited Act, and of one other Act made in the fourth 4 Ann. c. S.
