XVI. And be it further enacted by the Authority afbrefaid, That by or out of the fame Surpluffes, Ex- eoo.ccbl, for , cedes or Overplus Monies commonly called The Sinking Fund (after Payment of, or referving fufficient for redeeming a pro- paying the faid Sum of feven; hundred feventy-five thoufand twenty-feven Pounds feventeen Shillings and i Krl in3 ". >; " tof ten Pence Half-penny) there fhall be iffued, paid and applied, in one intire Payment, to the fame Gover- l £* A ™^' x i oi nor and Company, the Sum of five hundred thoufand Pounds, for redeeming a proportional Part of their before-mentioned Annuity of eighty thoufand Pounds, or by fuch other quarterly Payments, in Part of (he faid five hundred thoufand Pounds, until the whole be compleated, as the fame Governor and Company fhall voluntarily agree to accept of; and that when and as fuch Payment of five hundred thoufand Pounds, or any Part thereof, is made, a proportional Part of the fame Annuity of eighty thoufand Pounds fhall from time to time ceafe, determine and be abated for the Benefit of the Publick. XVII. ' firft and Wedncjday the third of February one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-four, broke into, and 4 there was ftolen thence, and carried away, the Sum of four thoufand one hundred ninety-one Pounds ' fourteen Shillings and fix Pence, notwithstanding all due Care was taken for Security of the faid Cafh, ' according to theDirections of the Act made in the eighth and ninth Years of the Reign of the late King ' William the Third, of glorious Memory, intituled, An All for the better Obfiervation of the Courfie an- 8 & 9 W. j.
