Joint Resolution Designating May 8-14, 1988, as "Just Say No Week".

Whereas America's youth are our Nation's most precious resource; Whereas young people are contributing to drug abuse prevention by starting just-say-no clubs and saying "no" to drugs; Whereas children across America will participate in a national justsay-no walk against drugs on May 11, 1988; and Whereas America's youth should be recognized for and encouraged in their efforts in the fight against drug abuse: Now, therefore, be it Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That May 8-14, 1988, is designated as "Just Say No Week", and the President is authorized and requested to issue a proclamation calling upon the people of the United States to observe such week with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities. Approved May 10, 1988.
