Inclusion[edit]

  • Nazi Constitution link removed - the reason you cant find the text is that it never existed - the constitution in the third reich was still that of weimar; it was just ignored.

Why is Sealand included in the list? 85.124.176.91 15:54, 14 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Categories?[edit]

I am confused about this categorisation system? Are the constitutions and the documents supposed to be put in Categories or is the link <Wikisource:Constitutional documents enough? Gryffindor 23:48, 6 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

It's a tough call. Many people like automatically generated lists of works, so put a category on the page that is identical to a page in the "Wikisource:" namespace that also lists it. I dislike this practice, because it is impossible to add any sort of comments to the categorical listing, while the manual lists offer much more in this respect. I think the manual lists are fine and categories should only be used if it will add and be beneficial to the page. But don't be surprised if people go back and add those lists again.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 00:16, 7 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Intro to the German Imperial Constitution[edit]

I've found this intro in German. Could if be translated and added to the beginning?

Under the section United States--Constitution of Louisiana[edit]

I would like to add the Constitution of the State of Louisiana to the list of state constitutions in this section. Unless someone objects. --Avazina 11:31, 25 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sealand removed[edit]

Constitution of the Principality of Sealand The text is not trustworthy (see discussion there) and sealand is not a recognised nation. --89.56.143.83 10:57, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

The recognition of the nation is an orthogonal topic to the authenticity & provenance of our edition of its constitution. The recognition of the document by other nation states is of little consequence to Wikisource, except that it might be categorised separately. You are welcome do add clarity to our classification system, but please do not degrade it by simply removing works from reasonable categories. John Vandenberg (chat) 11:51, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've moved it to a new heading, "Constitutions of unrecognized entities". This still does not address any questions regarding textual validity or its copyright. Eclecticology 18:52, 27 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
The new classification by Eclecticology as "unrecognized entity" is an excellent solution for Wikisource:Constitutional_documents, but Sealand does not belong to Category:National constitutions. Norwegian Constitution[edit]

There is an official translation of the original (1814) Norwegian Constitution available from the website of the Norwegian National Library: [1] It can be downloaded as a PDF and could be used as a source for including, also, the original version. V85 (talk) 11:31, 21 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Organizational constitutions[edit]

I just added Constitution of the Lowell Factory Girls Association to Wikisource, but did not list it on this portal. I'm unsure where or if constitutions of organizations and other such non-national entities would fit into the portal. djr13 (talk) 22:14, 7 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Insert constitution of Pakistan[edit]

why not added to list yet?--Janjua Rajpout (talk) 21:05, 23 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
