	In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful.	Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
083:001	Woe to those who short change.	Waylun lilmutaffifeena
083:002	Those who when they are receiving any measure from the people, they take it in full.	Allatheena itha iktaloo AAala alnnasi yastawfoona
083:003	And when they are the ones giving measure or weight, they give less than due.	Wa-itha kaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroona
083:004	Do these not assume that they will be resurrected	Ala yathunnu ola-ika annahum mabAAoothoona
083:005	To a great Day?	Liyawmin AAatheemin
083:006	The Day mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds.	Yawma yaqoomu alnnasu lirabbi alAAalameena
083:007	No, the record of the wicked is in Sijjeen.	Kalla inna kitaba alfujjari lafee sijjeenin
083:008	And do you know what is Sijjeen?	Wama adraka ma sijjeenun
083:009	A numbered record.	Kitabun marqoomun
083:010	Woe on that Day to the deniers.	Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
083:011	Those who denied the Day of recompense.	Allatheena yukaththiboona biyawmi alddeeni
083:012	And none will deny it except every transgressor who knows no bounds.	Wama yukaththibu bihi illa kullu muAAtadin atheemin
083:013	When Our verses are recited to him, he says: "Tales of the ancients!"	Itha tutla AAalayhi ayatuna qala asateeru al-awwaleena
083:014	No, a covering has been placed on their hearts for what they have earned.	Kalla bal rana AAala quloobihim ma kanoo yaksiboona
083:015	No, they will be blocked from their Lord on that Day.	Kalla innahum AAan rabbihim yawma-ithin lamahjooboona
083:016	Then they will be entered into the Hell.	Thumma innahum lasaloo aljaheemi
083:017	Then it will be said: "This is what you used to deny!"	Thumma yuqalu hatha allathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona
083:018	No, the record of the pious is in Elliyeen.	Kalla inna kitaba al-abrari lafee AAilliyyeena
083:019	And do you know what is Elliyeen?	Wama adraka ma AAilliyyoona
083:020	A numbered record.	Kitabun marqoomun
083:021	To be witnessed by those brought near.	Yashhaduhu almuqarraboona
083:022	The pious are in Paradise.	Inna al-abrara lafee naAAeemin
083:023	Upon luxurious furnishings, observing.	AAala al-ara-iki yanthuroona
083:024	You know in their faces the look of Paradise.	TaAArifu fee wujoohihim nadrata alnnaAAeemi
083:025	They are given drink from a pure sealed vial.	Yusqawna min raheeqin makhtoomin
083:026	Its seal will be of musk, so in that let those who are in competition compete.	Khitamuhu miskun wafee thalika falyatanafasi almutanafisoona
083:027	And its taste will be special.	Wamizajuhu min tasneemin
083:028	A spring where those who are brought near will drink.	AAaynan yashrabu biha almuqarraboona
083:029	Those who were criminals used to laugh at those who had believed.	Inna allatheena ajramoo kanoo mina allatheena amanoo yadhakoona
083:030	And when they passed by them they used to wink to each other.	Wa-itha marroo bihim yataghamazoona
083:031	And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.	Wa-itha inqalaboo ila ahlihimu inqalaboo fakiheena
083:032	And if they see them they Say: "These are indeed misguided!"	Wa-itha raawhum qaloo inna haola-i ladalloona
083:033	But they were not sent over them as caretakers.	Wama orsiloo AAalayhim hafitheena
083:034	And today, those who had believed are laughing at the rejecters!	Faalyawma allatheena amanoo mina alkuffari yadhakoona
083:035	Upon the luxurious furnishings they are observing.	AAala al-ara-iki yanthuroona
083:036	Have the rejecters been paid for what they used to do?	Hal thuwwiba alkuffaru ma kanoo yafAAaloona
