Does anyone have information as to where the painting of Sir Henry Palmer of Bekesbourne by Mark Gheeraerts the younger [q. v.], is?....it once belonged to David Laing.
I am an ancestor of Sir Henry's and would love to know more about what happened for deffinate rather than what i suspect.
I also have a large collection of resources on Sir Henry and can now connect him with the Palmer family of Dorney,Wingham and Angmering as well as an even more extensive resource to his own family from Snodland and Tottington.
Does anyone know what happened to Tottington and why it became Eccles?

Many thanks

You'd probably get more attention on Wikipedia at w:Henry Palmer (Royal Navy officer). Charles Matthews (talk) 11:19, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Have you checked the search engine of the National Gallery of the United Kingdom, alternatively, searched the National Archives of UK as they can be good sources for what is in public hands. FWIW I would also suggest that you create an account with a username rather than expose an email address. If create account, we can scrub the email and you will provide an ongoing reference point. — billinghurst sDrewth 12:09, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
