Deletion & fidelity[edit]

There was concerns raised that this work was a 1964 hoax, accordingly it was submitted for deletion. The discussion acknowledged that it may be a hoax, though it was still a legitimate work to host. If it is a 1894 work it is covered by the licence {{PD-anon-1923}}, if it is a 1964 work it is covered by {{PD-Disavowed}}. — billinghurst sDrewth 02:41, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

For convenience, the deletion discussion now lives in the archives at: WS:PD/Archives/2010-05#Instruction and Advice for the Young Bride. --Xover (talk) 17:06, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Scan[edit]

No published edition of this text is known to exist predating the version on the University of Washington website. However, the 2008 edition titled 'Sex Tips For Husbands and Wives from 1894' could be used for proofreading the text, after having removed any modern additions in that edition. —Beleg Tâl (talk) 20:25, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pre 1989?[edit]

I see this record from 1993 Google Books but curious if there are any known records that would place it pre-1989 so definitely in the PD. MarkLSteadman (talk) 19:14, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I see a reference to 1989 publication: Smythers, R. 1989. "Instruction and Advice for the Young Bride on the Conduct ... Transgender Views. 3(9):5- 7. Although not sure it is an accurate citation... MarkLSteadman (talk) 19:22, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Looks to be accurate citation: [[1]] MarkLSteadman. If true that would appear to be Sept. 1989 so after March 1 so it would be copyrighted ... (talk) 19:26, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
