The Century Dictionary and Cyclopedia
William Dwight Whitney (ed.)
The Century Dictionary and Cyclopedia was one of the largest and most highly regarded encyclopedic dictionaries of the English language.— Excerpted from Century Dictionary on Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The first edition was released in various bindings, including a six-volume set, an eight-volume set, a ten-volume set, and a 24-part set. The binding adopted here is the ten-volume set, since the later supplements were published as Volumes 11 and 12.

This work is in the public domain in the United States because it was published before January 1, 1923. It may be copyrighted outside the U.S. (see Help:Public domain).
