Hello, Lycurgus, welcome to Wikisource! Thanks for your interest in the project; we hope you'll enjoy the community and your work here. If you need help, see our help pages (especially Adding texts and Wikisource's style guide). You can discuss or ask questions from the community in general at the Scriptorium. The Community Portal lists tasks you can help with if you wish. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page.

I have fixed Crime and Punishment/Translator's Preface. Please try to edit more calmly and refrain from taking your frustration out on the poor helpless texts. I am sorry you were offended by the incompleteness of the effort here. However there are a small number of active editors here, and correcting "offensiveness" is low on the priority list. This is a work in progress and any help you offer to make Wikisource more complete is appreciated. I believe the current plan is to soon (after all the pages moves are completed) put the categorization effort into full swing, which would including tagging works with Category: Works originally in Russian. Then I think we should focus confirming the Copyright categories. I imagine the translation tags will at that point have priorty in the sorting as people are likely to mistakenly put an incorrect copyright tag on an english translation. As those are sorted out I would imagine any works lacking translator attribution will be fixed. There is simply too much to be done at Wikisource to not approach this is in an organized and coordinated fashion. At the same time this is a wiki, and everyone is encouraged to quickly fix errors that they find.--BirgitteSB 14:33, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
