User talk:Lycurgus~enwikisource
I have fixed Crime and Punishment/Translator's Preface. Please try to edit more calmly and refrain from taking your frustration out on the poor helpless texts. I am sorry you were offended by the incompleteness of the effort here. However there are a small number of active editors here, and correcting "offensiveness" is low on the priority list. This is a work in progress and any help you offer to make Wikisource more complete is appreciated. I believe the current plan is to soon (after all the pages moves are completed) put the categorization effort into full swing, which would including tagging works with Category: Works originally in Russian. Then I think we should focus confirming the Copyright categories. I imagine the translation tags will at that point have priorty in the sorting as people are likely to mistakenly put an incorrect copyright tag on an english translation. As those are sorted out I would imagine any works lacking translator attribution will be fixed. There is simply too much to be done at Wikisource to not approach this is in an organized and coordinated fashion. At the same time this is a wiki, and everyone is encouraged to quickly fix errors that they find.--BirgitteSB 14:33, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Lycurgus. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Lycurgus~enwikisource that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
