3 Maccabees is a book of the Septuagint, the Greek Jewish Scriptures. It is accepted as canonical by Eastern Orthodox and some Oriental Orthodox Christians, but considered non-canonical to Catholics, Protestants, and Jews. The author is unknown. It was probably written around ~100 BCE–50 CE.
