BUCCA, (DOROTHEA) a learned Lady of Bologna, in the fifteenth Century; Daughter of a great Philopher and Physician,

Was, from her childhood, instructed in literature, and profited so well by her studies, that she acquired the dignity and insignia of a doctor in the university; and, soon after, in the year 1436, she had a professorship there, and taught for many years with great reputation.
