Masterman, John, created D.C.L., 5 July, 1848, (son of William Masterman, of London, banker), of Leytonstone Hall, Essex, and of London, banker, M.P. 1841-57, a director of the East India Company, died 23 Jan., 1862, aged 82, father of Thomas 1842.
