R. Mortimer Wheeler
(1856–1936)
Journalist, appointed (about 1894) assistant editor of a Bradford newspaper; promoted (about 1904) to the newspaper's London office.[1] Father of the archaeologist Sir R. E. Mortimer Wheeler.[2]
This author wrote articles for the 1911 Encyclopædia Britannica.
