Description
English: Diagram of a "pneumatic lever" from a pipe organ. A pneumatic lever consists of a small power bellows attached to each key, so that the depression of the key admits high-pressure wind to the power bellows. The power bellows then performs the work of opening the valves, etc. In large organs the work to be done would be beyond the reach of the most powerful finger without this device.
