Modern species designations:  [Yellow] Leucocoprinus birnbaumii (Corda) Singer (1962) &

[White] Leucocoprinus cepistipes (Sowerby) Pat. (1889)

Sowerby's species designation:  Agaricus cepæstipes
Sowerby's description:  On page 13
Later annotation on plate:  Agaricus cepistipes Sow / Ag. (Lepiota) cepistipes Fr
Notes:  Sowerby thought that the yellow and white forms were the same species, but now they are classified as separate. This plate and the associated text constitute the original publication for the species name of the white mushroom, Leucocoprinus cepistipes, (although Sowerby spelt it differently as cepæstipes). See also the English Wikipedia article on the yellow one.
