This is very small and very poor copy of "Map of part of Abyssinia", copied from the original by Henry Salt esq., which appeared as a foldout frontispiece to Henry Salt's 1814 A Voyage to Abyssinia. Certainly appeared in the American printing: Philadelphia 1816 1st American Edition, at the very start of the book as a preface, Folding Engraved Map: Published by M. Carey ; Boston : Wells and Lilly, 1816. Printed by Lydia R. Bailey. 9 1/8 by 5 3/4 inches See reference. |
