Description
English: An Osmund bloomery furnace. One should consider that the author wrote "we find no mention of any furnace having been erected called by that name". In fact "osmond" is generally linked to a finery forge.
Français : Un bas fourneau osmond. L'auteur précise n'avoir « trouvé aucune mention d'aucun four portant ce nom et ayant été édifié et appelé par ce nom ». De fait, le terme "osmond" est généralement relié à un procédé d'affinage de la fonte (méthode de production d'acier naturel).
