Description
English: Image of a poorly documented clipping in the papers of Carl Schurz in the Library of Congress. The newspaper is unknown. From the text, a response to a toast at a dinner where Herbert Spencer was the guest of honor, it appears the location was Delmonico's in New York City where a farewell banquet for Spencer was held on November 9, 1882.
