Collins, Sir Robert Hawthorn, K.C.B. 15 April, 1884, M.A., Lincoln Coll., Oxon, 1864, comptroller of the household of late H.R.H. Leopold, Duke of Albany, 1874-84, tutor 1867-74, educated at Marlborough, a student of Lincoln's Inn 16 Jan., 1863 (then aged 21), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1866 (4th son of Rev. John Ferdinando Collins, of Betterton, Berks); born 3 Aug., 1841; married , 1876, Mary, dau. of Rev. H. Wightwick, of Codford St. Peter's, Wilts.
