Coll., Oxon, from Cheltenham Coll., acting police magistrate Ceylon civil service since 1873, a student of Lincoln's Inn 9 Jan., 1868 (then aged 19), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1871 (2nd surviving son of William Charles Gibson, of Ceylon C.S.); born ⁠, 1849; married 13 March, 1879, Elizabeth Lucy, dau. of W. Grant Allison, Esq., of Louth, co. Lincoln.
