Marriott, Charles, M.A., Brasenose Coll., Oxon, 1874, from Winchester Coll., J.P. co. Leic., high sheriff 1878, capt. Leic. yeomanry cavalry 1873–83, assumed the surname of Marriott, a student of the Inner Temple 9 May, 1870 (then aged 21), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1875 (eldest son of Rev. James Powell ( Marriott) Goulton-Constable, of Cotesbach, co. Leic.); born 14 Oct., 1848; married 10 Feb., 1880, Frances Marian, dau. of Robert Fellowes, Esq., of Shotesham Park, Norfolk; she died 20 Dec., 1882, having had issue (see Foster's Baronetage, Strickland).
