Salt, Shirley Harris, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1883, a student of the Inner Temple 14 Jan., 1879 (then aged 21), called to the bar 3 May, 1882 (only son of Sir William Henry Salt, Bart., of Maplewell, co. Leicester, J.P.); born 4 May, 1857; married 9 Sept., 1880, Charlotte Jane, only dau. of Very Rev. John Cotter MacDonnell, rector of Misterton, co. Leicester, canon of Peterboro', sometime Dean of Cashel (see Foster's Baronetage).
