Spinks, Frederick Lowten, serjeant-at-law 1862, M.P. Oldham 1874-80, M.A., Magdalen Coll., Camb., 1843, from King's Coll., London, went the Northern circuit, J.P. Kent, a student of the Inner Temple 3 May, 1839 (then aged 22), called to the bar 5 May, 1843, serjeant-at-law 27 May, 1862 (youngest son of John Spinks, of London, solicitor); born 27 Dec., 1816; married 27 Dec., 1844, Elizabeth, youngest dau. of Edward Brown, Esq., of Ashton-under-Lyne.
