Sprague, Thomas Bond, M.A., St. John's Coll., Camb., 1856, senior wrangler 1853, president of Institute of Actuaries since 1882, manager of Scottish Equitable Life Assurance Society 1874, a student of the Inner Temple 3 May, 1856 (then aged 26), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1859 (eldest son of Thomas Sprague, Esq., of Tottenham, Middlesex); born , 1830; married 13 April, 1859, Margaret Vaughan, youngest dau. of John Steains, of London and Liverpool.
