Feb., 1869, a student of the Inner Temple 31 Oct., 1840 (then aged 20), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1849 (only son of James Stansfeld, of Halifax, county court judge); born 6 March, 1820; married 27 July, 1844, Caroline, 2nd dau. of William Henry Ashurst, Esq., of London, and has issue (see Foster's Yorkshire Collection).
