Midland Naturalist was a journal established in 1878 by the Midland Union of Natural History Societies (initially called the Union of Midland Natural History Societies), An association of natural history, philosophical, and archaeological societies and field clubs of the Midland counties of England. Volumes 1 - 9 were edited by E.W. Badger and W.J. Harrison; Volumes 10-16 by E.W. Badger and W. Hillhouse.
