The letter f resembles the true labial in sound, it being softer than the English labiodental f. It is always slightly aspirated as though, indeed, it were h. 此處ニ記サレタルfハ眞ノfノ音ニ非ズシテ少シクhニ似タリ


Fu, , 生、ナマ、例セバ、フアマム、生米、ナマゴメ. adj. Raw. Green. Uncooked. As:-Fu amam, "uncooked rice." Fu kam, "raw meat." Fu ni, "green wood."

Fuchi or Huchi, フチ. フチ, 火. n. Fire. Syn: Abe. Unchi. Fuji.

Fukashtaro, フカシタロ, 蒸ス. v.t. To put to soak. To steam. To cook by steaming (a very common word but of Japanese origin). Syn: Sat-shuke.

Fukinane, フキナ子, 常盤草、トキワグサ、靑キ、綠(ミドリ)ナル. n. Evergreen grasses. Adj. Green.
